Utilizing Resources For God’s Glory

Record number of goods and services given in 2023

In 2023, we aimed to utilize the resources God provided from our community and to use them most efficiently to meet the needs of our community for His glory.  God brought many new families through our doors. Demand for services increased significantly from the previous year, and giving was down despite a focused effort to raise funds. This is not unique to CCS, but a challenge for all non-profit organizations in our community. In this environment, CCS focused its resources on impacting the largest number of clients possible.

CCS distributed a record amount of food in 2023 including fresh produce, meat, and traditional packaged items. We provided other urgent assistance with utilities, clothing, and legal advice. CCS helped our community’s children directly through many programs including Tools for School providing needed school supplies.  Our Self-Sufficiency programs helped our community members get on their feet and remain self-sufficient financially by getting the necessary training to gain employment and learn financial stewardship, while also helping them gain self-confidence.  Many of the graduates from our programs go beyond mere self-sufficiency and energetically give back to their community encouraging the next generation.

I look forward to seeing how God will use CCS in 2024 to meet our community’s needs.  I trust each of you will prayerfully consider how you can help make our community a better place moving ahead by partnering with us by volunteering, donating food, or goods, or simply by partnering financially.
