Seasonal Events

addressing timely needs

CCS Seasonal Events are scheduled throughout the year to both raise funds for our services, as CCS is a not-for-profit organization, and to offer additional services to our community. Events are subject to change. Follow us on Facebook for up to date event information or view our Events and News Online.

February

The Love Thy Neighbor Luncheon shares success stories from Self-Sufficiency Program participants and celebrates how the mission of Combined Community Services has recently impacted the community through offering resources, hope, and support to neighbors in need.

This Luncheon raises funds to support the work of CCS, provides lunch to attendees, and acts as a great avenue to learn more about CCS and how you can be the “hands and feet” of Jesus with us.

Spring

Prom, an important milestone tradition for high school students, is coming soon and young women in our community are preparing by choosing beautiful dresses and paying for hair, makeup, and nail services. While honored as a long-time tradition, prom is also one of the most expensive occasions of high school and would not be possible for some without the Glass Slipper. The Glass Slipper event allows young women the opportunity to receive a prom dress, shoes, jewelry, and even some beauty services or a meal for two.

Community members donate prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, and services to The Glass Slipper event.

Neighbors Talking

July

This event provides essential “back to school” supplies for students in Kosciusko County. CCS has partnered with many local organizations to be able to serve families at this 1-day event as well as community members who donate supplies.

This annual event serves more than 1,300 children in our county. The program was designed to ease the burden that families feel when sending their children back to school in the fall. Tools for School helps students to have what they need for a successful school experience and the event saves schools a great deal of money on buying supplies since students arrive with the requested items.

Lunch And Learn

November

Through a variety of hardships, families in our community aren’t able to keep full cabinets and are experiencing the stress of not knowing how to make ends meet from time to time.

Serving Kosciusko County residents who are experiencing food insecurity is a vital resource Combined Community Services is able to offer through the generous donations of our community. Each year, Food-A-Thon helps to stock the pantry and bridge the gap in needed donations to be able to continue offering these needed services. Any amount of donation helps!

Neighbors Talking

December

Combined Community Service’s Toy Time Annual Event provides a way for families to donate and sell gently used toys and for kids in our community to receive toys this Christmas!

Lunch And Learn

November – December

Combined Community Service’s Adopt a Family program helps children and families by providing food, toys, clothing, and something even more important: Hope!

The Adopt a Family program  has been making an impact in our community for many years, connecting those who can help with those who need help. Volunteering in this program is an opportunity for individuals, teams, companies, and organizations to reach out and lift up neighbors in need, either through direct adoption or financial contribution. Your gift, large or small, makes a huge difference!
