Tools for School

July 31, 9 am – 3 pm

Lakeview Middle School

We’re very excited to host the 29th annual Tools for School event for students entering grades K-12 in Kosciusko County. This event helps prepare Kosciusko County students in need for the upcoming school year by providing them with some of the essential school supplies.

Tools for School on July 31 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Middle School is a very exciting event that provides essential “back to school” supplies for students in Kosciusko County. CCS has partnered with many local organizations to be able to serve families at this 1-day event as well as community members who donate supplies.

This annual event serves more than 1,400 children in our county. The program was designed to ease the burden that families feel when sending their children back to school in the fall. Tools for School helps students to have what they need for a successful school experience and the event saves schools a great deal of money on buying supplies since students arrive with the requested items.

We ask that the Kosciusko County Community come together to purchase supplies that can be shared with other families so students can “pick out” their school supplies.

Our desire is for school to be a place where kids can go feeling prepared and confident. Each child should EQUALLY feel that their needs for the day can be met and that they are not spotlighted when, for any reason, they don’t have the supplies they need.

Supplies to be donated include:

  • Colored pencils
  • Markers
  • Composition Books
  • 3 Ring binders
  • Ruler, Protractor, & Compass
  • Large Pink Eraser
  • Elmer’s Washable School Glue
  • 2 Pencils
  • Single Subject Notebook (Wide and College Rule)
  • Headphones and Ear Pods
  • Calculator
  • Highlighter
  • Two Pocket Folders (Red and Green)
  • Kids Soft Handle Scissors
  • 24 Ct Crayons
  • Dry Erase Markers
