Every summer, Tools for School helps thousands of local students head back to the classroom with confidence. This year, we’ve made it even easier to help by attaching a tag to each backpack listing the exact school supplies needed to fill it.
When students attend Tools for School, they receive the supplies they need to start the school year prepared—without the worry or embarrassment of not having the essentials. Families can also take advantage of free haircuts, shoes, school registration assistance, community resources, and a visit to the Good News Caboose.

Donate School Supplies
This year the donation process has been made even simpler! Backpacks that need filled with the needed school supplies are available to pick up at the Combined Community Services office during office hours. Each bag has a tag that lists the supplies needed. Bring the filled bag(s) back to the office or to Lakeview Middle School (event location) on July 28th.
There are still backpacks waiting to be adopted by individuals, families, churches, businesses, and community groups. Will you help make a difference in a student’s life?
Backpacks can be picked up at the CCS office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Don’t have time to shop? You can still help! It costs just $25 to fill one backpack with the supplies a student needs for the upcoming school year. Simply donate below, and we’ll take care of the shopping for you.
