Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator
Location: Warsaw, Indiana (Kosciusko County)
Position Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Executive Director and/or Leadership Team
Combined Community Services is seeking a highly organized, flexible, and mission-driven individual to serve as the Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator. This dynamic, part-time role supports multiple areas of the organization, including volunteer coordination, administrative support, donor engagement, front desk operations, facility coordination, and seasonal event planning. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced nonprofit environment,
enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is passionate about supporting both the internal operations and external engagement efforts that make CCS successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Volunteer Coordination
Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers across CCS programs and events - Provide orientation, training, and ongoing communication for volunteers
- Track volunteer hours and maintain accurate records
- Ensure volunteers feel welcomed, valued, and aligned with CCS mission
Administrative and Donor Support - Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and reporting
- Support fundraising efforts through donor communication, acknowledgments, and event
assistance - Help maintain donor records and assist with stewardship activities
- Provide support to the Executive Director and leadership team on special projects and organizational priorities
- Front Desk Operations and Training
- Coordinate front desk coverage, scheduling, and daily operations
- Train staff and volunteers on front desk procedures, customer service expectations, and intake processes
- Ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient front desk experience for all guests and callers
- Facility and Building Operations
- Oversee general building organization, cleanliness, and functionality
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and assist with maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
- Support the organization of donations and shared spaces across the facility
Event and Program Coordination
- Assist in planning and executing CCS events and fundraisers
- Lead coordination efforts for seasonal programs such as Adopt-A-Family and The Glass Slipper
- Support logistics, volunteer coordination, and communication for events
- Ensure events are well-organized, engaging, and aligned with CCS mission
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in administration, volunteer coordination, event planning, or nonprofit work
preferred - Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic database system
